Ammonium Nitrate is back in the spotlight, this time in Houla.
No one yet knows who the material belongs to. But many Lebanese would find either possibility believable: Hezbollah, given its record of storing weapons among civilians, or Israel, given its widespread use of explosives across southern villages.
The facts remain unclear, but the confusion itself is revealing. Both sides have repeatedly exposed civilians to danger for military ends.
Different slogans, same result: Lebanon becomes a battlefield, and its people pay the price.
