Naqd is an independent media platform founded to produce multimedia content through an innovative lens that keeps pace with the digital age. The platform aims to cover current events and analyze social and cultural issues in ways that break from traditional media approaches — with a strong focus on amplifying the voices of marginalized groups that are too often overlooked.
NAQD is an independent media platform and news website, owned and registered under MAD AD S.A.R.L. Its headquarters are located in Jdeideh, Metn, on the main Beirut road, Lebanon.
Founded by young Lebanese journalists with the mission of amplifying the voice of a new generation and shedding light on its social and political concerns. The platform seeks to produce critical and interactive content that reflects people’s realities and asks the essential questions about Lebanese and Arab society — breaking away from traditional discourse and partisan bias.
Naqd believes that journalism should be a free space for knowledge, accountability, and change.
The platform works to bridge the gap between people and information through in-depth reports, human-centered stories, and bold investigations that engage with reality and spark public dialogue. It also strives to foster critical thinking and empower young people with the tools of expression and media production — enabling them to become partners in shaping public opinion, not just passive recipients of it.
In the face of sectarian divides and rigid political alignments, Naqd remains committed to objectivity, openness, and inclusion, ensuring it remains a safe and credible space for anyone seeking deeper understanding and greater participation in public life.
Our Vision
We aspire to a free, responsible, and courageous media — one that speaks for the people, not for those in power, and that sheds light on the truth as it is, not as it is shaped to appear.
Our vision is to create an independent and safe space that empowers individuals — especially young people — to think critically, question boldly, and engage in shaping a public opinion grounded in knowledge, justice, and human dignity.
Our Mission
At Naqd, we produce critical, interactive, and bold media content that addresses the social and political issues impacting people’s lives. We aim to break the silence surrounding injustice, confront sectarian and divisive narratives, and restore faith in journalism as a tool for change.
Our mission is to be an open platform for all marginalized voices — through independent, civic-minded journalism that aligns only with one side: the truth.
At Naqd, we adhere to an editorial policy grounded in complete independence from any political, religious, or economic influence.
We believe that press freedom is inseparable from ethical responsibility and full respect for human rights.
We are committed to producing free, uncompromised content that remains untouched by any form of external influence or censorship — whether from funders, partners, or political entities.
We do not accept any conditional funding that could affect our editorial line or journalistic choices.
We do not practice “false neutrality.” We take a clear stand — for truth, for justice, for people, and for the issues that shape their lives and rights.
Our coverage is critical, accurate, and evidence-based, relying on verified sources and transparent documentation.
Our reporting reflects the diversity of Lebanese and Arab societies — across regions, social classes, gender identities, religions, and cultures.
We prioritize marginalized voices that are often excluded from traditional media platforms.
We reject hate speech, incitement, and discrimination in all forms.
Our language upholds human dignity and avoids stereotypes or exclusion — without diluting critique or concealing wrongdoing.
Credibility is built through daily practice.
We fact-check our information, correct our mistakes publicly, and welcome feedback or clarifications from our audience.
We also maintain clear editorial standards for publication, sourcing, and the visual identity of our content.
