In April 2024, “tickets to Jerusalem” were distributed under the slogan “We will cross soon,” in a message meant to suggest that the road to Jerusalem was closer than ever.
Years passed, and the crossing did happen — but not in the direction people had been promised.
While the slogans spoke of Jerusalem, the Lebanese found themselves facing a devastating war, occupied villages, displacement, and negotiations over Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
The dream was to pray in Jerusalem. Now, the highest ambition is to pray in southern Lebanon — and to pray for it.
