Syrian cartoonist Saad Hajo held an exhibition titled “A President for No Reason… Bad Manners” at the National Museum of Damascus, in collaboration with Creative Memory of the Syrian Revolution.
The exhibition features around 60 drawings, along with a series of animations, offering a satirical reading of Bashar al Assad’s character.
Through drawings created over the years, Hajo mocks the former Syrian president as if he had been sketching Bashar Al Assad almost daily since the start of the Syrian revolution — capturing his greed, cowardice, cruelty, dullness, recklessness, and his tendency to erupt in anger over the slightest reasons.
