Naqd’s investigative documentary the two prisons of Roumieh wins the Samir Kassir award for freedom of the press

NAQD Media’s investigation “The Two Prisons of Roumieh” has won the Samir Kassir Award in the Audiovisual News Reporting category.

The investigation examines Lebanon’s prison system, with a particular focus on Roumieh Prison, revealing the stark contrast between inmates who enjoy privileged conditions and others forced to endure severe overcrowding and degrading detention conditions.

This recognition marks an important milestone for NAQD and strengthens our commitment to producing investigations that bring overlooked issues into the public eye through rigorous research, documentation, and reporting.
