Iran reportedly offered a $30,000 reward for killing or capturing any U.S. soldier, raising it to $60,000 if the operation is carried out by an Iranian woman.
In its own version of “women’s empowerment,” the Islamic Republic finally found a field where women deserve double: not in rights, laws, public life, or freedom of choice, but in killing American soldiers.
The same regime that has imposed discriminatory laws, dress restrictions, arrests, and violence against women protesting for their rights now appears to have discovered women’s value, only when they become useful for war and propaganda.
Even this militarized feminism says more about the regime than it hides. In Iran’s version of equality, women do not get twice the freedom, only twice the bounty.
