This Ashura, Hezbollah once again used the religious occasion as a platform for political mobilization, replacing the slogan “Hands off the weapons” with “Hands off Ali al-Taher,” while keeping the same objective: defending its arms and glorifying battlefields.
But between shifting slogans and unchanged realities, the more important question remains: What if Hezbollah had, even once, seriously raised the slogan “Hands off the South” under the authority of the state and in cooperation with it?
