The Millitary Counrt Detained 4 New Members a Few Days Ago
Over the past few days, the #LebaneseArmy arrested four armed Hezbollah members carrying weapons and rocket ammunition while attempting to head to southern Lebanon to fight Israel. Their files were referred to the Military Court.
The arrests came days after the court released three Hezbollah members on bail of less than $10, a decision that sparked widespread criticism and accusations that the court had yielded to political pressure.
Following the backlash, the Minister of Defense issued a warning to the head of the Military Court, Brigadier General #WissamFayyad, placing him under closer supervision. However, the measure stopped at a warning after Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri reportedly opposed his dismissal.
Attention now turns to how the Military Court will handle the newly detained members—whether they will again be released on bail or face stricter legal action.
