Electricity supply in parts of Syria has risen to over 20 hours a day, reaching 22–24 hours in some areas, a major improvement after years of severe power cuts.
Increased gas and fuel supplies, repaired generating units, and upgrades to transmission and distribution networks have helped boost output.
The improvement eases households’ reliance on generators, batteries, and alternative energy, while reducing operating pressures on shops, workshops, and services.
