Cancellation of official exams

Cancellation of official exams

After months of back and forth, Education Minister Rima Karami announced that terminal-year students will be exempted from official exams and granted passing certificates for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The decision applies to registered students based on their evaluation results, provided they have passed their school grades with an average of at least 9.5.

Karami said security and military authorities are currently unable to provide the guarantees needed to hold the exams safely and fairly.

An exceptional exam session will be held for private candidates, students who failed at their schools, and successful students who urgently need an official certificate.
