Nabatieh residents appeal to save their city from Israel and Hezbollah

For the second time in the last few months, residents of Nabatieh have signed a petition urging the Lebanese state to reclaim full authority and deploy the army to protect their city and surrounding villages.

More than 400 local figures signed the appeal, demanding that all weapons and decisions of war and peace remain under state control, alongside efforts to halt Israeli attacks, end the occupation, and recover occupied land.

Residents say protecting the South requires confronting both Israeli aggression and weapons outside state authority.
