Starlink has officially entered Lebanon for the first time through Rmeish, where the municipality received an operational terminal to maintain internet access if traditional networks fail.
For the border town, which has long faced weak connectivity and repeated wartime disruptions, the service offers a crucial backup during emergencies. Operating via satellite, Starlink can remain online even when local telecom infrastructure is damaged.
Rmeish now becomes Lebanon’s first publicly announced real-world Starlink deployment.
