The seventh round of direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel resumes today in Rome, under US mediation.
The agenda now extends beyond maintaining the ceasefire to include Israel’s withdrawal, the deployment of the Lebanese Army, Hezbollah’s disarmament, border demarcation, reconstruction, and several other issues being discussed for the first time.
