Caught between protecting children and restricting freedoms, the Lebanese State once again turns to the easiest solution: a ban.
Instead of addressing the risks posed by Roblox and similar platforms through awareness and digital safety, restrictions are presented as though they can control an online space where users can access almost anything through multiple channels.
The problem is not the platform alone, but also the lack of awareness among parents and children, as well as the weak culture of reporting and digital protection.
