Officially, Minister of Education Rima Karami announced the cancellation of the official “Brevet” intermediate certificate exams in Lebanon.
The decision comes after a period of political debate and multiple proposals regarding the official exams, amid a national dilemma between safeguarding students’ futures — especially as a large number of them did not receive adequate education due to the war — and the necessity of holding official examinations.
Meanwhile, the fate of the Lebanese Baccalaureate exams remains uncertain.
