Under Trump’s plan, the Yellow Line was originally based on dividing the Strip into two areas: the western zone, where most of the population is concentrated, comprising around 47% of Gaza’s total area, while the remaining 53% stayed under Israeli control.

However, Israeli forces continued expanding westward, ultimately creating the Orange Line, according to the terminology currently used by Israel. This new line cuts off an additional 11% of the #Gaza_Strip, raising the proportion of restricted or inaccessible areas for Palestinians to nearly 65% of the territory’s total area.

The expansion of the #Orange_Line is forcing around 2.1 million displaced people into severe overcrowding within an area that makes up no more than 35% of the Strip, amid the collapse of essential services and worsening health and environmental conditions. This further heightens the risk of disease outbreaks and epidemics while undermining the basic conditions necessary for human life.

This comes as Israel attempts to impose a new security reality in Gaza, amid growing speculation about the possibility of the war resuming, alongside Israeli accusations that Hamas is attempting to rearm.
